The Grand Theatre

A nonprofit organization

The Grand Foundation, Inc. was formed to promote family, cultural, and fine arts education and entertainment within the historical Downtown district of Grand Island, NE.

We host live events, provide a place for community meetings, weddings, playing video games for birthdays, comedy acts, conduct tours for groups, plus many other activities.

Five Points Bank sponsors a matinee on the 2nd Wednesday each month.

Husker Football & Volleyball has been enjoyed by many on the big screen.

The Grand has shown locally produced documentaries such as "Ocean of Grass" and "Born to Rein" in past years.

Each August, the Grand hosts a car show, which is a thank you to the public for continually supporting the Grand.

In the past, we have decorated a table at the Habitat for Humanity Salad and Silver event in September.

Our weekly first run movies are shown every week on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:15 p.m. with the doors open at 6 pm. We are staffed by all volunteers for our Board and staff.

Testimonials

"This place is quite a gem. It's a quaint little theater that has been around for decades. Well kept, old-style auditorium. The staff are made up of volunteers and are very inviting and welcoming. I absolutely loved my experience there and would recommend it to anyone."

"Great experience! State-of-the-art digital projection and sound system."
