  • Who can make a donation?

    Anyone can donate and support the mission of registered nonprofit organizations at www.GoBigGIVE.org.

  • What credit cards will be accepted at www.GoBigGIVE.org?

    Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. American Express will not be accepted. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Can I give to more than one organization?

    Yes. You may make multiple donations with one transaction to registered organizations. For your security, payment information is not saved. Donors who wish to make additional gifts later will re-enter payment information.

  • How much of my donation will go to the nonprofit?

    The organization(s) will receive the full donation less a processing fee of 5%. Greater Grand Island Community Foundation and Heartland United Way do not receive fees of any kind for Go Big GIVE.

  • Is my gift safe and secure?

    Yes. The Go Big GIVE site is powered by Neon One, and is a secure PCI-Level 1 compliant site for donating to your favorite charities. For your security, payment information is not saved. You can be sure your personal information is protected when you donate through GoBigGIVE.org.

  • I have a charitable giving account at a Community Foundation. Can I use it for Go Big GIVE?

    Yes. Donor advised funds at a Community Foundation may gift to participating Go Big GIVE organizations during the event. Gifts from a Donor Advised Fund are not charged the processing fee and these gifts do not count toward incentive prizes.

  • Does it cost anything to give to a registered organization(s) with Go Big GIVE?

    There is no fee to you as a donor. Your donation will be subject to standard credit card fees and a Neon One online processing fee. These fees will be withheld from the final disbursement to the participating nonprofit organizations.

  • Who will receive my contact information?

    Unless you elect to make an "anonymous donation," organizations you donate to through GoBigGIVE.org will receive your contact and gift information. Donor information is used to acknowledge donors for their support. As site administrators, the Heartland United Way and Greater Grand Island Community Foundation will have administrative oversight of all donor information received in conjunction with the Go Big GIVE event.

  • How can I make a donation?

    Donations can be made to any registered organization at GoBigGIVE.org beginning April 22nd through 11:59 p.m. May 2nd. You can search for an organization by name, keyword, or service area. Each organization will have a donation page on GoBigGIVE.org where you can view their mission and services. Donations online are available via credit card and check. Checks must be entered via the E-Check process at checkout.

  • Can I make a cash donation?

    Yes. Cash donations are accepted and require an Offline Donation Sheet. Cash donations must be submitted to the Go Big GIVE team at 1441 N Webb Road in Grand Island, NE 68803 starting April 22nd and prior to 8 p.m. on May 2nd.

  • Is there a minimum donation? Is there a maximum donation?

    The minimum donation is $10. There is no maximum donation. Donations up to $25,000 are eligible to receive a proportionate share of the matching funds.

  • What organizations are participating in Go Big GIVE?

    A complete list of participating organizations in Hall, Hamilton, Howard, and Merrick Counties can be found on GoBigGIVE.org under the "Nonprofits" tab. Nonprofit status and IRS compliance have been verified for each organization.

  • When will the nonprofit know about my donation?

    Your nonprofit organization will receive notice of online donations in real-time and will have access to a full online donation report during and after Go Big GIVE. Donors have the option to give anonymously if you choose to do so. Every effort will be made to disburse donations to nonprofit organizations within 60 days of the event.

  • Beyond a donation, how can I support my favorite nonprofit this day?

    After you have made your donation, you can spread the word among your own friends and networks about Go Big GIVE and the good work nonprofits do in our communities. Click the "SHARE" button after you donate to let others on Facebook and Twitter know that you participated in Go Big GIVE! Your favorite nonprofit may also have an online media campaign, promotional event, or other ideas to promote the day.

  • How will I be recognized as a donor?

    Once you've provided your email address, you will receive an immediate thank you and tax receipt from GoBigGIVE.org. Participating organizations are asked to recognize donors as well. Donors can log in to GoBigGIVE.org anytime to reprint a gift receipt. Anonymous donors will receive a tax receipt from GoBigGIVE.org, but will not receive a tax acknowledgment directly from the individual organization. Donors who deliver gifts in person will receive a tax receipt by May 31st.

  • Is the Heartland United Way or Greater Grand Island Community Foundation generating any revenue from the project?

    No. The Heartland United Way and Greater Grand Island Community Foundation receive no financial benefit from hosting this event. As a matter of fact, the Go Big GIVE Team has committed to offering Match Pool Funds and additional incentive prizes, as well as promoting the event.
