TeamMates of Aurora

To positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.

Tom and Nancy Osborne established the TeamMates Mentoring Program in 1991 to provide support and encouragement to school-aged youth. We are a school-based mentoring program, which means mentoring takes place in the school building during school hours at our middle school and high school. TeamMates of Aurora began in 1999 and we currently have 39 matches. Mentors are community volunteers who build a relationship with students. Mentors give youth a sense of hope, purpose and vision.

Testimonials

Over the last couple years we have served 40-45 students through TeamMates. The mentoring relationships help encourage the kids to stay in school, graduate, and be successful in life. Many of our students have gone on to college to pursue different careers. These students have benefited from the friendship of a caring adult, who has helped them walk through the ups and downs of life.
