$12,000 Goal

The purpose of the STOP Fund is to provide financial resources to Central Nebraska service organizations that address human trafficking through any of these approaches: 1) directly assist survivors of human trafficking, 2) prevention and education 3) provide justice by supporting law enforcement, prosecution, or victims.

The Stop Trafficking On the Plains (STOP) Fund started in March 2017 and from the very beginning, it has clearly been a community effort. This is of crucial importance, because it truly will take "all hands on deck" to address this issue. Human trafficking is currently the second largest organized crime in our country. Within Nebraska, we know that human trafficking is happening everywhere -- our bigger communities as well as small towns. This is startling and requires our attention. We need to raise awareness, report suspicious behavior and care for those amongst us that have experienced this trauma. Together, we can support survivors of human trafficking. Together, we can Stop Trafficking On the Plains.

Testimonials

We were able to help a woman get established in a new community to feel safer and more comfortable , after her trafficker was caught. We are thankful for this community, that when we get the call to help someone, we have the resources available to do so!
