NextPoint Home Development’s mission is to help low- to moderate-income individuals and families obtain and maintain safe, affordable housing. We proudly serve ten counties across south-central Nebraska: Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Kearney, Nuckolls, and Webster Counties.

Through a variety of programs, NextPoint works to make housing more accessible and sustainable. We provide down payment assistance to help individuals and families achieve homeownership. Through our lease-to-own program, we construct new homes and restore existing properties, providing a pathway to homeownership for low- to moderate-income individuals and families. For current homeowners, we offer rehabilitation grants of up to $40,000 for eligible applicants to complete essential home repairs and improvements—such as roofing, siding, windows, doors, HVAC systems, accessibility upgrades, and more.

In addition, NextPoint manages affordable rental housing, including The Meadows Apartments in Hastings, and provides supportive housing for homeless youth at the Maryland Living Center. We are also committed to strengthening our communities through financial education for renters and future homeowners, as well as neighborhood revitalization efforts like property abatement and the demolition of unsafe structures.

Through these efforts, NextPoint continues to build stronger communities by expanding access to safe, stable, and affordable housing for those who need it most.
