Merrick County Youth Council

To strive, commit and persevere to provide an alternative for youth in our communities; we WILL exhibit leadership, passion, dedication and unity in order to live lives above the influence.

The MCYC was founded in 2002 by 16 youth who were passionate about serving their community. Today we have over 30 youth who are carrying on the tradition. Our major focus is to educate our peers about positive alternatives to drug and alcohol use. We work at being fearless against adversity and standing strong in our belief that there is "always an alternative". Our vision is to create a legacy of optimistic leadership that will last for generations to come. We are in the process of purchasing our building to provide meeting space and an activity center for youth in our community.
