Crime Stoppers of Grand Island and Hall County Nebraska
About the Organization
Crime Stoppers of Grand Island and Hall County was created in 1982 to assist law enforcement in the fight against crime in our area by making it possible for citizens to provide information through an anonymous tip line. Those tips provide a valuable resource for law enforcement and often make a real difference in a suspect being brought to justice. Tip providers are given a secure number and may be eligible for rewards based on the information received and the result of that information. Throughout the years, Crime Stoppers has evolved in the way tips are received by adding email and social media as a direct way for citizens to provide information.
Crime Stoppers exists to help bridge the gap between the community and local law enforcement agencies. We strive to help citizens of our area feel more comfortable in their interactions with law enforcement, helping break the stigma associated with community policing efforts. We are supportive of our local law enforcement and we feel it's important for the community they serve to be supportive of them, too. We can only achieve our goals with the assistance of generous donations from members of our community.
