GI Youth Activity Fund

No child should be excluded from participating in activities due to financial hardship.

The GI Youth Activities Fund was designed to help assist and lessen the financial burden of the soaring costs associated with participation in activities such as sports, dance, etc.

This fund was initially established through the Nebraska State Fair's generous gift to the City of Grand Island in 2015. From there, Mayor Jeremy Jensen and the City Council approved the allocation of $20,000 of the $100,000 State Fair gift to be earmarked for this particular activities fund. 

Youth are limited to $100 per calendar year for assistance, but can request funds every 12 months if needed.  Need verification is required. Learn more here.
