Grand Island Little Theatre

We will entertain, enlighten and educate through the talents of volunteers in order to strengthen the future of the performing arts!

The 2024-2025 Performance Season has been a huge success for the Grand Island Little Theatre (GILT). We've been meeting the performing arts needs of all four counties served by GoBigGive since 1960 and have been a not-for-profit (501)(c)(3) since 1981. GILT partnered with College Park in 2005 to provide a permanent home for all GILT performances at the Hornady-Marshall Auditorium located at College Park in Grand Island. All of GILT performances are made possible by volunteers, including Board members and the Production council, which work together to identify show selections each season. GILT offers five productions each season, relying on community volunteers to assist with all aspects of the productions (costumes, set design, lighting, etc.). GILT also provides an opportunity for youth in the area to discover a love for theatre, including acting, set design, make-up, etc. through the GILT Jr. program. GILT Jr. is a week-long "camp" that culminates with 2 performances at the end of the week. In addition to fundraising for performance needs, GILT also participates in other local events to assist with the promotion and/or fundraising for other community organizations.
