Lovers of the DIT know just how bad portions of the trail have eroded over the years. My goal is to raise funds to help Platte PEER Group afford to patch and smooth up the trail where needed. It costs around $1,600 per load of materials, so if we reach our goal we can get a load and start improving the trail!
The Dark Island Trail provides a safe and free area for the community to gather and enjoy nature. It is 100% donation funded so large and costly improvements need your support to get accomplished!

Platte PEER Group provides education and recreation at Bader Park and Dark Island Trail to enhance the quality of life of our community and protect our natural areas. We exist to create and protect natural areas for the public to enjoy. Our passion is getting people outside to explore and learn about natural areas that we live in.
