I have served on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Grand Island since 2020. During that time, they launched their infant and toddler pantry "Happy Healthy Baby" to help young families in need. The YWCA Grand Island is the only organization in town that was providing free carseats to infants in need. In fact, the hospital would call regularly because they had babies who were just born who couldn't go home because they were in need of a carseat. The YWCA provided brand new carseats and baby items to families (safety reasons, and also dignity for the family). However, they are out of carseats and keep getting calls from the community who is in need! Donate to my fundraiser so we can gather funds to purchase carseats to keep families and kids safe!
