Every day, we receive multiple pleas for help from folks right here in our community and surrounding communities facing challenges that most of us can't imagine. From emergencies to basic care, to surrendering their pet completely; costs to save these precious lives add up quickly. Just this year alone we helped with 2 major local hoarding cases that were drug related and involved close to 30 dogs. Some dogs were networked out to rescue partners, but the costs stayed on our shoulders; as we know everyone is drowning in expenses. We are still trying to recover from the financial hit we took from these saves, but the dog’s safety was more important at the time.
