Mike and his family were referred to our office by our partner agency, Third City Clinic. They were homeless and seeking help to reach stability for their family. Both Mike and Annabelle work, but with growing debt and garnishments were unable to save enough for deposit. They needed guidance with budgeting. Their case manager was able to help guide and link them to other resources and gave them tools. She helped them figure out which debt to work on paying off first and helped to set up payment arrangements. They have paid off over $3500 in debt and have over $1000 in their savings. They entered the program receiving food stamps and Childcare Assistance, and now are not receiving either.

Your donation can help hardworking people like Mike and Annabelle get off of government assistance programs long-term. Some families just need a little guidance to get them back on their feet and to be self sufficient.
The CNCAP Family Outreach Department works with individuals and families to set and achieve personal goals by offering services and opening new doors to other programs in the communities. We incorporate new skills such as budgeting, education, job and housing search and provide financial support (when available), guidance, advocacy and suggestions to reach stability. We offer confidential services through a comprehensive approach to embody the spirit of hope and motivate participants to make positive changes in their lives. The importance of the process is to link them with systems that provide resources, services and opportunities to overcome barriers toward independence. All services are based in the belief of the individual's potential for growth and change. We serve individuals, couples, families, Veterans and their families.
