Learning frequently begins at the library. Our support of your hometown library reaches citizens from birth and beyond.

In 2017, the Library will begin another transformation by re-purposing space to maximize how we learn, work, and relax as we enter the 3rd decade of the 21st century. Reconfigured meeting space for formal and informal meetings, an internet cafe' and coffee bar, resale bookshop, makerspace, and collaborative teen spaces will transform and revitalize our Grand Island Public Library. All proceeds from Go Big Give will go toward the renovation costs. We invite you to visit the library on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm to learn more about the renovation and to be our partner in bringing these exciting hew spaces to realization!
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to support the mission of the Grand Island Public Library, since 1958. The Grand Island Public Library Foundation exists to enhance the Library's programs, resources, and services. One of the Foundation's emphases is early childhood literacy programs, such as the Summer Reading Program, BookBop, Baby Lapsit, and Storytime. The Foundation enriches these and other library programs by providing nutritious snacks, quality learning materials, and professional guest presenters. Your gift also supports the purchase of books, videos, and audio resources, as well as supporting special exhibits and library technology.

Your donation is fully tax-deductible to the extend permitted by law.
